Looks matter. A lot.

But less fat and a smaller middle can also reduce your health risks — such as heart attacks and back problems.

But how do you get that slim, sexy fashion model look?

Here are the 3 stomach reducing exercises you need to consider.

1. Exercises that will Burn the Fat

Many people are still convinced that if they do 100’s of sit-ups and crunches, they’ll eventually have the stomach of LL Cool J.

There is a chance that you might eventually develop those muscles, but no one will see them if you don’t include a fat burning routine to uncover them.

Sit-ups and crunches can and do strengthen your abs, but do precious little to burn the fat from your waistline.

Start with one of the best fat burning programs. It is much easier to start with than a big exercise program and it will get your whole body in great shape at the same time.

2. Cardio

You don’t have to enter an Ironman tomorrow, but you need to start soon to incorporate a bit of cardio into your routine if you have not already.

It’s not hard to do. I hate running but I love to ride my bike. My buddy, Aaron, and I try to ride at least 3 times a week after work or on the weekends.

Other people swim, do aerobics or even practice mixed martial arts(!).

Some people get out of bed early and use a bit of cardio and kick-start their day (not for me, thank you very much.) Just pick a good time for you and get out there.

3. Stomach Exercises

These are the exercises that can help give you that flat, 6-pack abs look.

However, do not kid yourself — this is hard work.

Here are a couple of easy starter exercises to get you going –

The V Sit Up – Lie down on the floor, your legs straight out, hands extended up over your head. Raise your legs and torso at the same time. Try to keep your legs straight! Reach with both hands toward your raised feet and touch them if you can. Return to starting position and repeat.

The Bicycle — (This was rated Best Abs Exercise by San Diego State University) Lie on the floor, again. Put your hands to the side of your head, behind your ears. Bring up your knees to about a 45 degree angle. And start “pedaling.”

Now, touch your elbow with the opposite knee (right elbow to left knee and left elbow to right knee) as you continue.

I hope these tips get you going on the sexy tummy that you desire.

But remember this important thing — no one will ever see your sexy stomach muscles if you don’t burn off the fat around your waistline first.
